Talk at Agile Testing Days USA: Testing as Part of the Team Culture!

Last week was the first edition of Agile Testing Days USA, and it was an amazing event and experience!

In this blog post I’ll share the slides, some pics, and tweets of the talk that I delivered on Tuesday: Testing as Part of the Team Culture. Thanks to all who joined me during my talk!

Preparing this talk was a challenge. Although the topic is very interesting, it was hard to include practical information in the amount of time that the presentation lasted. After several rehearsals with some friends and colleagues, I think we made it :). Thanks Adrián, Amparo, Emil, Gallina, Guille, Hele, Joi, Jorge, Juan Pablo, Lucía and María Eugenia for your time and for your valuable feedback! It was a great experience!

Abstract

This presentation is about different changes that were implemented when an interdisciplinary team developing a product started adopting testing as part of their team culture. During the presentation, Claudia will share what they have learned from a testing perspective and also what other lessons were learned beyond testing that helped them build a team culture.
This story is set during the process of building a multi-platform UI prototyping tool (mainly) for interaction designers. It covers a six-year period during which there have been eleven major releases and several intermediate releases. The team, fully dedicated to building the product, consists of highly qualified and experienced professionals: developers (5), interaction designers (1), visual designers (1), technical writers (1), and testers (1).

Some tweets about the talk

Claire Moss almost live-tweeted all my talk! She types very very very fast! At some point during the talk, her twitter account was locked! Fortunately, she unlocked it easily 🙂 Thanks a lot for your support!
